Avantstar Launches Quick View Plus Web — HTML5-Based Viewer at ILTA Conference 2015

Users can view virtually any file, plus metadata and "hidden" information, in a web browser

MINNETONKA, Minn. (Sept. 1, 2015) — Legal and eDiscovery professionals now have a new option for viewing virtually any file in a web browser: Quick View Plus Web.

Avantstar, developer of the popular Quick View Plus Professional Edition desktop file-viewing software, introduced Quick View Plus Web today at the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) Conference (booth 201).

Built on HTML5, Quick View Plus Web integrates easily with eDiscovery and review platforms. Quick View Plus Web also can display metadata and “hidden” content, making extra information in files visible.

Users can pass a keyword programmatically to Quick View Plus Web from a third-party application with any search hits displayed as highlighted text within the document or perform ad hoc searches in the open document from within Quick View Plus Web.

Other features of Quick View Plus Web include customization options to change settings such as toolbar options and program controls. Quick View Plus Web also features page navigation controls, search, zoom and fit mode settings, and other options including the ability to enable or disable metadata and hidden information views.

Quick View Plus Web works with popular web browsers including Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Server system requirements for Quick View Plus Web include Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, Server 2012, Server 2008 R2 or Server 2008; Internet Information Server (IIS) 7.0 or later; .NET Framework 4.5; and ASP.NET 4.5.
